The Chips Joint Undertaking is organising a series of workshops to explore topics for potential inclusion in the Work Programme 2026. Among topics under consideration is an Innovation Action (IA) topic on “Power Electronics for a prosperous and resilient Europe”

Power electronics are of crucial importance for the EU’s path towards successful integration of renewable energies. They stand at the forefront of the green transition driving sustainability and efficiency as everything is becoming increasingly electrified. Smart and efficient power electronics are needed to address the critical challenges of increased energy efficiency along the full chain from generation, transmission & distribution up to the use of electric energy.

The workshop aims to gather insights into the needs, challenges, and priorities of relevant stakeholders to maintain and extend Europe’s competitive edge in power electronics, to reinforce its ability to innovate and lead in the next generation technologies.

The workshop is open to all organisations interested, foreseeing a welcome by the EC and JU, as well as interventions by individual stakeholders.

We look forward to your active participation in this workshop!
